• Interactive White Board: A whiteboard
that transcripts to digital ink and can control the computer or
projection system displayed on it.
• Infrastructure: Network infrastructure is a Gigabit
fiber backbone. Outlets for CAT-5/5E, fiber optical and RG6 coax
connections are available throughout CEnIT's space. |

• Workstations: Computer workstations
have Gigabit Ethernet for network connectivity (compared to 100
Megabit Ethernet). Dual monitors allow increased digital workspace.
• 50" Plasma Monitors: Video (VHS, MiniDV, DVD), RBG
input for computer-based presentations, BNC and RCA video inputs.
Located in the foyer, Innovation Lab and a quad-display in the TONK.
• Wireless access points: 802.11b, 802.11a, the new
802.11g and Bluetooth access points covering the CEnIT facilities and
some parts of the Quadrangle. Allow laptop/PDA wireless connectivity.
• Web Cams: Four controllable web cams (3 in CEnIT, 1 in
IfM) located on CEnIT's website. One 360 degree camera viewing all of
the Innovation Lab.
• Video Station: Video editing station for real-time
video editing for plasma or classroom presentations.
• Video Conferencing: Mobile video-conferencing
capability utilizing the H.323 protocol. Up to 3 additional
participants can be added into one video call.
• Privacy Windows: Polymer Liquid Crystal privacy windows
in the Innovation Lab. The glass panel can change from a clear view to
a frosted click by the flip of a switch.
• Ergonomic Furniture: Furniture is easy to setup into a
conference, classroom or informal arrangement.
• Biometric Security: Biometric hand reader allows access
into the Innovation Lab after hours by scanning in the individual's
handprint.
• Touch Screen Kiosks: Public touch-screen web kiosks
located in the foyer provide passing students quick access to their
email, class assignments, etc.
• Room Wizard: A web-based room scheduler for the Board
Room and Innovation Lab.
• Office Equipment: Business office equipment available:
Copier, color laser printer, fax, scanner, digital camera, video
camera, CD-copier/printer, digital sender & conference phone.
• Digital Sender: Sends paper documents like a fax
machine, but can also convert it to a PDF file and send it to any email
address. |
